When you walk into the hotel the design just hits you it's stunning and the restaurant has this lovely outdoor area that makes you feel at home and the woman at the front desk gave us great tips for exploring the area on our extra day.
It wasn't exactly cheap but it was still acceptable for what we got.

The lobby and tavern areas are absolutely stunning, with beautiful decor that gives a lovely first impression. However, the room could definitely use some updates—the air conditioning was pretty loud and there were some maintenance issues that detracted from our comfort. We enjoyed the breakfast, although the coffee was a bit too strong for our taste. Overall, it was a decent experience but I feel it could improve with some attention to detail.

We hit up Raven Run and the Kentucky Horse Park nearby. The area offers over 10 miles of beautiful hiking trails and fun outdoor activities. Plus, the proximity to the city really added to our trip. The free breakfast was a highlight, with tasty biscuits and gravy and awesome service from the staff.
Our room needed some serious updates. The ceiling had a big crack, and there were visible stains in the bathtub. For the price we paid, I expected a much better experience.

missingWrote a review on Jul 17historic propertykentucky architectureconvenient locationthin walls
The historic property has a unique Kentucky-themed architecture with charming details that showcase its character. Its location offers convenient access to various local dining spots and event spaces, making it suitable for entertaining family or gathering with friends.
The noises from the hospital nearby and thin walls are serious downsides, as you can hear sirens all night and the chatter from adjacent rooms. The bathrooms are surprisingly cramped, with limited counter space. it’s a challenge to even turn around without knocking something over. I also found the elevators awkwardly positioned far from the rooms, which can be a hassle when hauling luggage. Lastly, the inconsistent water temperature during my stay—particularly the lack of warm water upon arrival—left much to be desired.
